Our mission is to invest in small to mid-sized companies where we believe we can add strategic value and operational guidance to maximize success.

We want to be purposeful with our investments to help others and most importantly, for His glory. We look to partner with individuals that value faith, culture, teamwork, fun, and growth. Said simply, “We value meaningful work with meaningful partnerships.”

We will invest in companies we feel our experience can help the leadership team successfully grow their organization. Our desire is not to direct the daily operations but to serve as an Executive Advisor to be available for coaching when needed. We will help the Operating Team ask the hard questions, make better decisions and be there for support as our mentors did for us over the last 20 years.

Equity is a critical element as we look to be strategic, vested partners for the long term with growth and future impact being more important than income today.

Karrie is a retail executive who started her career with Mattress Firm as a manager of one store and advanced through multiple leadership positions to become its Chief Operating Officer. Karrie played a key role in navigating the company and its rapid growth over her 20 years in the industry from a small start-up company with 4 stores when she began to 3,500 stores, 80 distribution centers, 10,000 employees across 49 states and $3.5 billion in annual sales. For over a decade, the leadership team averaged 30% annual growth and achieved 11x share lead over the next closest specialty retailer in the category.

Prior to her role as COO, Karrie led diverse teams and initiatives in positions that included Chief Marketing Officer, Chief Business Officer, and Executive leadership roles in Merchandising and Sales.

Karrie specializes in Executive Advisory, Strategy, Marketing, Merchandising, Real Estate, Human Resources, Learning & Development, Forecasting, and ROI.

Matt Forbes

Throughout his 20 year retail career, Matt has helped build and lead high performing teams in Executive positions across Sales, Operations, Distribution, Home Delivery, Supply Chain and Purchasing. His strategic roles and active leadership enabled his companies to deliver impressive growth stories.

Matt currently focuses on investments, coaching and consulting opportunities as the CEO of Forbes Advisory. Prior to this, Matt held several executive leadership positions at Mattress Firm. He helped the company as it transformed from original founders to franchisees, small-cap private equity, mid-market private equity through IPO, to its subsequent acquisition by an international conglomerate.

Matt specializes in Executive Coaching, Sales Leadership, Sales, Logistics, Operations, Compensation Modeling, Analytics, and Budgeting.
